It's a rather long novel, and knowing how the characters arrive at their eventual ends is more important that what, exactly, that end may be. Essentially, the book is not spoiled simply because there's just so much in it, both on the level of simple content and in the form.
But I am sorry that I did reveal what is one of the funniest and most pathetic sections of the novel, thus depriving you of the pleasure of discovering it for the first time. I'll be more careful with the spoiler tag in the future.
