Has anyone read? If so worth the read?
It's v cozy. A good break book if you've been reading a lot of dense shit lately. Reminds me faintly of Lewis, like a book I read long ago in my childhood but somehow forgot about.

Neil Gaiman is a phenomenal writer. My only
problem with his works is he lacks somewhat
creative means of dropping in characters. By that I mean the
fantastical side is simply put in place. Not much build up. It's really well written and wont
disappoint.

I thought it was in many ways very similar to Coraline, but that Coraline did it better. It's still pretty good though, if you're a Gaiman fan.
People on /lit/ actually think Gaiman is a good writer. Disgusting.
Apart from Sandman, everything he has done has been shit.

I just picked this up today, along with Trigger Warning. I'll let you know how it is in a few hours.

Hating on Gaiman is a /lit/ meme because he's just popular enough not to give that hipster cred. Every board on 4chan has people who can't wait to show you how contrarian they are.

I didn't dig it all that much. A little more whimsical than most fantasy, which camos directly out of plot intrigue. Not a tradeoff I'm personally inclined to enjoy.
MODS
We have a genre fiction containment thread, use the catalog.

This is /literature/ not /books/. We made a containment board because redditors like yourself have been shitting in our bed for years, now we're trying to clean it.

Educate, don't discriminate.
Explain to the poster your opinion, and he his.
Google dialectics, maybe you will learn something.
