>>8338792
amazon
local bookstore

Thriftbooks is my favorite. Usually very cheap and you get to know which edition you are getting.
>>8338882
I go to one in LA, there's like 3 or 4 around here. Deseret does sound like a good spot for a meet up though, if any socalfags would actually go
Second hand copies can be easily found/bought for less than five dollars. Unless you somehow managed to get super powers, I don't understand why I should download 25 Go worth of books I'll never, ever open.

I had no idea they were outside of UT
Does lit have meet ups?
#bookz, but that was over a year ago. I've taken to buying books but honestly it gets a bit draining, so I might switch back.
Soulseek
Library, Amazon, sometimes a book store
I'm a huge proponent of copyright infringement / free media, but at the end of the day I prefer physical copies of books
>>8338945
I said that. You didn't say it.
Bookzz, piratebay, through friends, etc.
Sometimes ibuy the books i really like
>>8338792
Damn, when did it go down?
There are shit loads of other places to get books. No idea where to get films anymore though.

>>8338865
reddit has tons of links for torrenting textbooks. google "reddit textbooks torrents"
>>8339404
I think that means I won, if I'm reading the rules correctly.
>>8339605
Do you write for The New Yorker?
>>8338792
nothing beats a real book
do none of you know about libgen?...
>>8341402

>>8341407
#bookz has everything libgen does. Libgen is for the beginner.
slsk, irc, wherever else. But a lot of good stuff you can't get online anyway.
The Book Depository.
Amazon usually, bibliotik if I dont wanna pay.
I purchase content.
I have no problem with that.
Buy them and get some off private trackers.
How come it's so hard to find a lot of books from torrent sites, even private ones?
I mean, you can easily find basically any film in existence, but it can be hard to find even a fairly popular canonical authors works.
>>8339328
If you like you can replace "wrong" with "dumb."
>>8341828
Entitlement is my favorite word.
I'm guessing it's not yours, too.
>>8341418
Soulseek is also not bad
>>8341828
>How come it's so hard to find a lot of books
There's a lot more books than there are films, and a lot more books come out per year than films. I'd imagine this is at least partially related to the amount of effort required to put out a film (hundreds of people working, investing millions of $$$) compared to writing and publishing a book.
It also has to do with the size of the audience. A lot more people are into films than books, so you have a bigger fanbase working to pirate a smaller amount of items.
>>8339015
go to gay porn
>>8343813
I would do gay porn but I got fat. And I'm too self-conscious.
Otherwise, if I would've at least charged to have sex and have been an escort, I would be rich.
I gave it away for free, and I didn't get much back in return.
>>8339147
just literally google *movie name* torrent...if it isn't a popular release from the last 18 months you'll get legit hits
