Hey /lit/ I was wondering if you guys would help me out, during the holiday I've literally nothing to do so I've decided to read one of these books, could you tell me which one of these books and if you could give me any recommendations ?

Depends what you're in the mood for. Want a deep, serious book? Go for the Republic. Want an epic fantasy story? Go for Homer. Want great, poetic stories? Read EAP.

Anything at the moment, do you have any recommendations on any other books ?

I'd read The Iliad and get into a Poe piece every so often to break up Iliad since it's pretty long. No reason why you couldn't do both.
The others are philosophy, if you're into that I'd read Plato

Any other book recommendations ?

Thanks dude any other book recommendations ?

i'd read poe first, he's pure fun and modern enough so you don't feel totally displaced. stories are short and not too strenuous, good book to set your reading pace. next do Iliad, it's easy and adventurous but different enough to keep you interested to establish routine.
once you get in a comfortable groove of things, you can read anything you like. just pick one and go for it.

Is there a good edition of Pope's Homer? I wish NYRB would put it out.
