How much do care about understanding the context of a book or author when you read one?
Do you have to do a little bit of historical research before you read Charles Dickens? Or do you just dive in?

I wonder what type of averaging they used for that chart. It can't be mean and I sincerly hope its not mode (what kind of fucking idiot 22 y/o says 'I think 21/24 y/o's are hottest), median would be fucking stupid though.
Only people who are going whine about the author being rich, white and male care about that.

First time reading a novel I try to go in blind or with as little info as possible.
Later I do background research if I feel it's necessary and/or if I plan on revisiting it later.

>only men lying in a way that doesn't scream "SAY A LEGAL AGE IN ALL JURIDICTIONS" are at peak earning potential
>only women honest enough to say "not peak earning potential" are practically menopausal
yeah, women aren't much better liars, but they've really clubbed together on the "equal ages" lie admirably

>Let me explain gender behavior to you in a long greentext post
please, continue. i need to read more of your theorycrafting immediately.

>men actually thinking "any and all ~15+"
>women actually thinking "44, 7 figure salary, with a 25 yr pension, and a dodgy ticker"
