Hey /lit/, i have seen you guys seem to like Borges, but talking about argentines writers, what are your thoughts on Julio Cortázar work.

That's what I've been hearing (Borges said the same) but some people really love Hopscotch.
I think Borges said it tries too hard to be weird, but then he loved Cortazar's short stories.
Also, Cortazar himself is quoted as saying his short stories are the best thing written in the Spanish language.

His short stories have a really cool style. In a way, I like him a lot more than Borges or even Kafka or Chekhov, as a short story writer.

I second Borges on this (though I'm not very fond of Georgie either). Rayuela/Hopscotch is just many short stories with the same narrator. It didn't aged well.
