A important one is Ruben Dario

Also the Romanceros are so good (the older the better).

how is Bolaño's poetry in Spanish? I have a bilingual edition of The Romantic Dogs but I don't know enough Spanish to tell if it's any good. the translations aren't great.

Me sobra corazón.

Is that supposed to be some kind of metameme?
>>
>>8318056
I don't think it took place in NY, in the storyline the gypsy gets thrown in prison and is ultimately killed by his own I believe

Juan Boscan

Basically Juan Boscan.
You can see how Spanish /lit/ has pleb tier taste when all they mumble about is Lorca Becquer and almost instantly derail into fucking Borges.
Read Quevedo and Gongora and while you are at it read Lope De Vega and Manrique, Calderon de la Barca too and Jose Zorilla.

Argentine here

I would recommend

From Spain

San Juán de la Cruz
Jorge Guillen
Juan Ramón Jiménez
The two Machado brothers, Antonio (the most popular one) and Manuel (not as well known as his brother), they were divided by the Spnish Civil War
García Lorca

You may find it hard to understand Quevedo and Gongora

From Latin America

Rubén Darío
César Vallejo
Borges
Neruda
Nicanor Parra
>>
>>8318271
forgot Fray Luis de León
