How does /lit/ feel about audiobooks?
Cancer
Depends HEAVILY on the voice of the narrator (and his accent).
So many bad narrators.
Having said that, audiobooks and narrators are now my companion where I used to listen to music (e.g. on the way to work, at work sometimes, coming home from work, having sex with my bitch wife etc.)
>Audible
Absolutely disgusting. Only used them once because of their "FREE TRIAL" thing. Audible DRM is a pain in the ass. Hate their apps too. Piracy all the way.

Great for lighter non-fiction. Good for YA. Shit for everything else.

I can listen to a book I've read several times but if I try listening to one I haven't read before I find myself failing to retain much of it. Fuck audiobooks.

This is what I was thinking of doing, listening to lighter books that don't require much attention.

It's okay. The tool I've used to strip the DRM works well enough for me.
