which one is best in terms of exposure? I have a tumblr but not much traffic there. so wordpress, blogger, what?
I did have a wordpress account that got a bit of traffic for whatever reason. that was political though, so more general-interest.

Please lets be frank: no one reads fiction published online and those who do just skim read and forget quickly. The internet is not a viable forum for publishing fiction. This millennium is not a viable time to be writing fiction if you seriously want people to read it. Just look at the content of this board, representative of basically every other book "hobbyist" board there is online. The same set of well worn classics read and discussed by all, with zero room for variety or newcomers (or even any work which isn't at least ten years old).
Writing is not a viable option in general. It will make you miserable to attempt to pursue it, specially given that it is all about WHO you know not the quality of the writing. And your quality of writing is, lets be honest, probably mediocre anyway.

You can have your opinion but there are some blogs that are successful and make money off of advertising. It's not a sumzero activity.
Certainly, more respectable than a youtube channel.

That is fair and also true.

At the moment I'm writing poetry, which is a far more digestible form.
>"Probably" mediocre
Not going to stop me from trying.
Also, writing isn't my focus. It's just something I'd like to keep going as I've always been good at it. I do have the intention of trying to get published some day.. but I'm not relying on it.
