He's a little dense and flowery. Also wrote in a language he wasn't completely fluent in.
Short History of Decay is interesting tho.

He is a lot easier to understand than any other French philosophical thinker of the time. As long as you understand what parts of his view he inherited from Lev Shestov he is a lot easier to understand. People are always want to place him under Nietzsche but they are both really different outside of their form.
His aphorisms are A+.
Don't know why he bothered with a lot of his essays, though. His poeticisms are a little abstruse.
