Finishing Infinite Jest

It's been sitting on my bookshelf for a couple weeks now. I am too intimidated by its size to actually start it.

I read it on and off for about 8 months, with other books interluding sporadic intense reads. Made for an interesting experience of it.

I got halfway through it over the course of a couple months or so and now it's been weeks since I've made any real progress. This happens with every book I pick up, no matter how engaging.

I recently read it as well. After the first three or four hundred pages I knew I didn't care for it but felt that I should finish it. When I did finish it, after a week or so, I felt relief, and immediately moved on to something else.

Admittedly it wasn't the easiest book to finish and it was trying many times, but ultimately rewarding imo. Got either Ulysses, Hyperion or Blood Meridian lined up next. Unsure which to choose though.
