Despite the title, the work has nothing of introductory into it. It's Hegel expanding upon Schelling's aesthetics to make his own. To understand the book into a good extent, you will need some basic knowledge on:
a) Plato's aesthetics
b) German Idealist thought in general, but mostly Metaphysics
c) Schelling's aesthetics
d) Kant's aesthetics
As >>8164971 said, SEP is yout best ally.

I've been there.

Damn. I just want to start a " fundamentals" of aestethicsm book. I tought this was the basics because of the "introductory" word.

Read firstly: http://www.iep.utm.edu/aestheti/
For primary content, buy: https://www.amazon.com/Philosophies-Art-Beauty-Aesthetics-Heidegger/dp/0226348121
It's an excellent companion that includes texts and excerpts from the most important aestheticians. As the title says: from Plato to Heidegger.

Hegel was such a hack.
I'm glad he was (and is) called out on it.
