There's too many books. Or are my interests too broad?

You aren't spending enough time reading

Even if you spend every moment reading there's too many books

Just speed read them

Then you won't actually comprehend your reading

Speed reading is about comprehending books better because you're reading for the most important points of a text and won't get bogged down in irrelevant details.

I feel the same way, anon. I love books and have a broad range of interests. But sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of unread books on my "to read" list. I feel a sense of sadness that there are so many I'll never get to.
But I don't try to speed read or rush through the ones I do read. I want to enjoy them. Hell, I even reread my favorites.
Just focus on enjoying the ones you have the time to read, and maybe be a little more particular about your choices. But don't limit yourself. Read what you want, at your own pace.
