How does this make you feel?
Atleast he didn't rewrite it.
Sort of a fun exercise.

How does this make you feel?
I just retyped OP's post to feel what it was like to be a useless faggot.

OP literally on suicide watch
Fucking stupid. He didn't feel what it was like. He didn't develop the characters, the plot, the themes. He just copied it like a kid who thinks tracing anime is impressive or a worthwhile. He was basically just reading it with finger motions added. What a stupid exercise

Holy fucking shit. I thought I was the only one that did this. I have this habit of whenever I see a piece of good prose, or writing that I really liked, I'll rewrite it and pretend that I'm the one that wrote it. It feels pretty great, desu.

i think he secretly imagined himself fitzgerald's secretary
i wonder if he wore lingerie while he re-typed it

It's obviously talking about how Fitz went from word to word, not the plot. If it was about the plot, it would have been specified, because that's remarkably silly, as your reaction to it shows. Rewriting someone else's work can open up a window into how they came up with the flow and diction of the text.
OP asks the real questions.
>"How does this make you feel?"
>"What if I told you that Leonardo DiCaprio was in the film version? How would that make you feel?"
>"What images do you associate with The Great Gatsby? Try closing your eyes and tell me what you see."
>"Where on the doll did The Great Gatsby touch you? How did that make you feel?"
>>8076216
don't people do this all the time for practice? like with the JKV?
>>8076313
Good point I guess I just made a rash reactionary answer.
>tfw anonymous so no one knows you said something dumb

Beatniks were one of the worst disasters to happen to mankind so I'm not surprised.
