>>8047901
consider that Underworld was his peak as one of the top 3 american writers so your talking about the financial pinnacle of the profession that less that 5 people at any given time occupy

whats the wrap on zero K.. has anyone read it yet?

I liked it. There are some samey themes that Delillo has done before (technology, capitalism) but this time there is more about identity and significance. also daddy issues.

His best in a good while. Some of it like the tv screens displaying acts of mass violence etc are very stale to me at this point but it seems like a more meditative and well thought work compared to his other 2000s micro-novels. Feels very of the time in a more immediate way than most of the rest of his novels of late

the prose describing the scenes was excellent, but the way they he implemented them in there felt cramed, constricted, like he needed a reason to show all those events but had no other way other than putting a damn tv in there for no reason.
