Most of his poetry his highly enjoyable. His fiction is not bad either, although it can be repetitive thematically and stylistically.

That poem Bluebird made me cry when i was in rehab.

Not a big fan of his novels but poetry is above the mark.

In terms of novels he's written Ham on Rye, Women, Post Office, and Factotum. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Like the other anons said, his novels can get a bit repetitive thematically (I liked Ham on Rye because he talked about Chinaski's childhood in it). In terms of poetry he's written a lot and it's pretty amazing.

The ICP of literature

I read Pulp a few months ago to see what all the fuss was about and I was thoroughly unimpressed. Maybe I should give his poetry a chance...
