Anyone actually read this and if yes would you recommend it?

Amazing. Read it in one day. If you're a recluse or shut-in you will relate. Especially if you suffer from mental illness.

The book also ends great. No one improves, there is no fairytale ending.

And yes it's a great book, very entertaining if a little superficial. It's very funny and quite sad.

The cartoon is better

Ignoring the weebshit its still a pretty mediocre book

The manga hit a lot more dark notes than the book or the anime did and honestly I find that amazing cause it was published as a magazine serial
