Not enough Igor in the book
good shit. and surprising. Frankenstein is something everybody has heard of, even people who have never seen any of the movies or homages or whatever know the basics of the story/characters. But then you read the book and you realise a lot of the iconic frankenstein facts (igor, neckbolts, maybe even lightning?) aren't even in the book, and a lot of the big things (like antartica) in the book aren't in any adaptations.

not claiming it's some literary masterpiece, but it's a pretty comfy book imho, read it right after my father passed away so I related to the creature in the last few chapters and got a lot of >feels

I enjoyed it. I don't think that it is S tier, but I liked it for what it was. Looking back on it, some of his deliberation in his head reminds me of Raskolnikov.
