This is a general guide to the Greeks, it won't be useful (until you get to the Plato and Aristotle at the end). Plato is good because the dialogue attempts to mimic what happens in real philosophical conversation. It forces you to think and to become part of the exchange in so far as you are attempting to understand the various positions and are formulating your own objections or additions to any position. Aristotle is probably too removed from modern understanding that I don't know how much you will actually get without modern scholarship to aid you.

The problem with getting into existentialism is that it's a reactionary movement and a lot of it won't make sense without understanding what they are reacting against. I would suggest reading something like Russel's History of Western Philosophy or similar. Supplement it with podcasts, lectures, or articles to get a better understanding of key topics of thinkers. After a few months of this kind of effort you might be (depending on what you have spent your time looking at) able to begin existentialism.
