I know it's not particularly rare or expensive but yesterday I found that I had passed on an opportunity to pay 200 for a book a few months ago.. That's now selling at its cheapest for 900. Feels bad, man.

Most of the books were in the $200 to $3,000 range. The most expensive thing I saw was a ten page rough draft of Plath's that was selling for $17,500. She wrote it in pencil.

Lucky, lucky, anon. You should read Malin's analysis--Into the Tunnel: Reading's of Gass's Novel--as it has some really interesting takes on it, and clarifies a lot of stuff.
