So, recently my friend told me to read this older book since I sorta like reading dark things. /lit/ is this book worth my time? Can anyone give me a review of the book? Please be specific, thanks.
>>
It has no real merit except to make the reader feel bad for the author and the abuse he suffered if they can overlook the writing itself.

So...not worth my time?

Do we have to do everything for you? If you could find it at a thrift store among the cookbooks and illiterate prayer books, then don't read it, you anus.

Don't listen to the elitist fags on this board OP

Just because Oprah read it doesn't mean it's shit

Besides, you're gonna get to read about a little shit being tossed on a stove. Shit had my sides in outer space.

I read it in middle school because everybody was reading it back then. All I remember was that there was this one scene where the main character is forced to eat these frozen hot dogs and then throws them up but his mom makes him eat the throw up. Think she also locks him in a room with bleach or something. The book has nothing much other than shock value desu.

I got a copy of King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard in a second hand shop once.

It were a quid.
