Has anyone here read Karamazov Brothers?

This is the most Kafkuesque book by far imo

The atmosphere,the characters,the plot,the motives,the minor side-stories

Am I the only one who noticed this
>>
No, literally read the wikipedia page about Kafka and you'll see he liked that book a lot.

Hmm I am ctrl+f the wiki but I cant find anything specific about the book other than vague references to Dostoyefski characters punished?

Could you link me the Karamazov part or quote it here?
>>
>>7826476

It's not even the most Kafkaesque of Dostoyevsky's works
Look no further than that pic

Check out Dickens' late novels like Bleak House or A Mutual Friend. Really Influenced Kafka and Dovstoevsky

you're propably talking about the Basement am I right?

well its too much on the surrealistic side for me while Karamazov was both gritty and funny

This book has incredible depth with all the side stories and the minor situations that constantly emerge, that makes you instictively remember Kafka's parables and side-stories like Before the Law or the struggle of Amalias family

I could quote some of these situations if you like but fucking English is not my first language as you all may have noticed,so its gonna be kinda hard for me and any /lit/ lovers lurking the thread

>the Basement
Notes from Underground? No, I was thinking of The Double. You might also look to Bobok, The Crocodile, or A Nasty Incident for other works of his that could be called Kafkaesque.

Apparantly The Double was a big influence on Metamorphoses

I heard the The Trial was inspired by Crime and Punishment, but I have not read The Trial yet, so I don't really know.
