I've never read him, but I've noted the type of people who seem to tout his stuff everywhere.

For those who have read him, is he to philosophy what Seth Godin is to business-self-help? As in, a popularizer who spouts half-thought-through, generic maxims that are too bland to ever be of any actual use to anyone who is looking for anything beyond quotes to stick on Instagram'd landscapes?
