How do I get into making /pottery/, /lit/?

What would I want those for? I thought I just needed paper, pencil, and inspiration. How do I become good at pottery? Everything I write is unremarkable at best or absolute trash at worst.

1. Up your ear until you can hear cadences
2. Dont say shit thats been said before, or say it in a new way (which means read the old guys)
3. Say it in as most precise a way as possible
4. Dont think that new means smackin lol randum shit all over the page even if its lyrical. Wallace Stevens is an example of intricate and complex imagery, but stuff like surrealism and other page jizzers is just a maelstrom of forgettability.
