A decent author, but her skill in critical papers outshines her extended prose. I read every column or letter that I see with her name attached, but haven't read her books in quite some time.

She's pretty good. Surfacing is her best novel, but people don't know this because they're too focused on le feminist masterpiece The Handmaid's Tale. The Blind Assassin and Alias Grace are also better than Handmaid's Tale.
