Wordsworth and Dover are the main ones that come to mind.

Penguin is hit or miss.

All three are shitty quality paper/covers and all three use the cheapest, and often the worst, translations for foreign works.

/sci/ here, I definitely agree with this person, dover has good technical(i.e. STEM) books for really good prices, don't know about the rest of their publishings

Penguin really is poor quality. I still buy them sometimes for an inexpensive option but only if the work was written in English. Their regular line just uses inferior quality paper and bindings which do not hold up to repeated use.

Their nicer editions have no problems and can even have good translations.

Its more of the translator but most of the time it's not a problem. You get what you pay for for the most part
