i've read about 1000 this year and 10 in the last two weeks, curcumstances and location matter, willpower is not variant.
it's ought to be more a question of WHAT you read tho
What I learned is that reading in between day to day activities is not enough and actually harms your reading comprehension, you actually have to set aside at least an hour per day day for your reading
An hour of uninterrupted reading can stack up from 50 to 100 pages, depending on density of the text, most high brow literature isn't that difficult so a 700+ page book is manageble in about 2 weeks
I used to read about 15 - 20 pages a day on my way to uni, this way reading big books becomes a mundane task of reaching a page quota chore plus you don't retain everything and miss out on interconnected plot points
This does work for fragmented narratives like Nausea or Savage Detectives, still I don't find much enjoyment in that
Maybe 40-50 if it's easy and 8-15 when it's hard.

this pretty much
I probably sit around 100-150ish. I wake up a lot earlier than I need to for work, and I have very long lunch breaks. Plus I read about 30-40 pages in the evening and about 20 when I'm in bed at the end of the day. I like reading like this because I don't have to sit down and really force myself to read because I'm only every reading for about an hour at the most in a sitting.
This way I'll only ever have huge sittings on books I actually want. Makings reading a much bigger pleasure instead of being a chore.
Fiction, novels: 60-70
Philosophy: 5-10
