How do you do this? I can't do this.
Tips?
>>
Do you too have to run when a passage gets too intense? I read Proust when I jog and Baudelaire's poems make for exhausting sprints through the woods.
My advice to you is to slow down intellectually and read each word separately. Glancing off the book to the scenery around you also helps (similarly to, when masturbating to pornography, you sometime have to click on the bottom right of your screen and in a moment hangs the possibility of your cumming to desktop icons).
Good luck.

I read and walk sometimes.
As anon said, slow down your pace.
It is easier if you have take the same route all the time. You get used to your surroundings.

Shit, it's like texting and walking.

this. Unless you are in a really open area where its easy to not bump into anything. I went for a walk today with a book and got through like 2 pages while walking. Its much easier just to find somewhere to sit.

Print out your reading on transparencies

e-readers make it a lot easier.
>>
e-reader helps.
only do it on a path you can go through automatically, like a walk to work that you take every day.

You need a device to attach it to your hips, like Dylan's harmonica holder.
>>
(is every single person here concertedly memeing or do you actually do that?)

Underbasted roast

Write out what you're going to be reading in larger letters, so it'll be easier to read it while you're walking
>>
Just get on a moving treadmill and rest your reading material on the dashboard.

Memorize what you want to read and read it in your mind. This will get you around any difficulties you might have with eye-coordination.
