Anyway, what's the deal with audiobooks? I think I'd find it extremely frustrating to not be able to read at my own pace, but I've never tried.

Catch-22 was great as an audio book, any dickens read by Martin Jarvis, he also does some jeeves and Wooster which is god-tier. I actually did crime and punishment as an audiobook as well, and it was great.

Guess what? Page-turners make the best audio books. I'm sure there's already an audio version of The Martian or some such shit.

The Hitchhikers Guide radioplays are pretty good if you want to take a break from the more hardcore stuff.

Endurance and other books about Arctic or Antarctic exploration in general are pretty good and have quite a lot of real-life horror moments.
