elaborate.

I've seen this posted again and again but it's simply a shitty argument. The Simpsons is not picaresque, while Confedeeracy is the definition of a picaresque novel, its influences being all those other picaresque novels, particularly Italian. Don Quixote may as well be given credit for Yvonne of the Yukon. Homer Simpson is nothing like Ignatius, nor are any of the other characters. Sure Toole's characters are cartoonish but they tend to be in picaresque novels. Please stop posting this shit threads without at least providing your shitty supporting arguments.

> Homer Simpson is nothing like Ignatius

Who said anything about that?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_Book_Guy#Creation

>Comic Book Guy was partly inspired by a clerk at the Los Angeles Amok book shop who often "[sat] on the high stool, kind of lording over the store with that supercilious attitude and eating behind the counter a big Styrofoam container full of fried clams with a lot of tartar sauce."

God that is a disgusting description
