Man, I love Ezra Pound. He taught me more about literature and poetry than any of my English professors. I highly recommend the ABC of Reading by Ezra Pound. Take notes on the writers and comments he makes, read some of them, then come back to the ABC and compare your notes with his. It's a good substitute to an English degree.
