Has any of you read Samuel Biagetti's long-ass article released yesterday on Jacobite? It's a must-read. Some sort of left-wing conservatism.

https://jacobitemag.com/2017/09/13/the-ikea-humans-the-social-base-of-contemporary-liberalism/
>>
Holy shit
I've never seen someone so accurately describe the way that I've felt about politics in America in ways I couldn't put to words.
>>
>it's another "Jacobite editor canvassing 4chan thread!"
>>
I just did. It was meh.
As someone who's been living on the outside for my whole life I just thought this was common knowledge and could have been said in half the words
>>
>>10022793
Isn't the problem though that the Ikea class today don't see a problem with being greedy and narcissistic? Explaining their hypocrisies to them isn't enough. It's a very bleak time
>>
>>10022943
I came to say this.
>>
>>10022793
Thought it was good, thanks OP.
>>
>>10022793
Jacobite Shill,
I rather liked this article, thank you for the link.

Hoping you have a pleasent day,
Anon

>A conventional form for subscriptions with either fiat or bitcoin is coming soon.

Literally fucking when?
>>
>>10022793

the title and the majority of the article (he does mention Spencer being a bourgie once) makes the mistake that the "lumpenbourgeois" he's talking about is liberal, when in reality everyone on both sides is dependent on the globalist system

when you finish reading the article you see a short bio about the author: a PhD historian who runs an antique shop...about as lumpenbourgeois as you can get except he'd rather you buy his expensive antiques than go to Ikea, perfectly sums up the hypocrisy of the article
>>
>>10022943
bumping for this. I know you're here Mariani
>>
>>10024355
Stop bumping this shit thread, Mariani.
>>
>>10023633

Honestly the hypocrisy kinda makes the article better. It only serves to fuel the thesis of emergent capital slowly taking us out of our own equation and into being an exchangeable commodity, such as in "Well you don't like to be the liberal Veneering, why not be conservative Veneering?! Buy now and get Ms. Veneering plus Betty the side chick free of charge!".
>>
Does Jacobite take submissions from pseudonymous authors

I'm in academia and don't want my name on anything that some idiotic tabloid could even tenuously associate with right wing extremism
>>
>>10024395
For clarification, by idiotic tabloid I mean some piece of shit like The Guardian indelibly e-associating me with Tricky Rick Spencer, because one of his distant cousins published something in Jacobite once and so did I.
>>
>>10024395
I'd like to know as well. I'm also a secret academic.
>>
>>10024395
Mariani here, yes we do. I encourage you to contact us.
>>
>>10024422
Thanks look out for an essay submitted by 'Immanuel Wilhelm Friedrich von Goethe-Schellinghauer'
>>
>>10023633
Antique shops kinda preserve antiques though, rather than having them deteriorate and become trash. And plenty of times stuff isn't even that expensive. You could buy an old chest of drawers instead of going to IKEA. Honestly I think the author is mostly just angry about mass produced furniture. This whole article is an advertisement for his shop.
>>
>>10024395
Just use your real name you pussy. Right wing extremism is going to happen so you might as well have your name out ahead of the curve and reap the benefits when the time comes.
>>
>>10024828

That's like saying Atlas Shrugged is Ayn Rand's advertisement of the awesome train company she would build if only she had a dick. I can get behind this
>>
>>10024453
Why not just say you're Kantbot and get it overwith
>>
>>10023633
Very true, the actual thought-leaders only post on twitter, forums or Thermidor.

This takes a long time to get good but I think it does get good. I rate it 4/5 swedish meatballs.
>>
Jacobite is just a Jacobin rip-off for right-wingers with early signs of schizophrenia
>>
>>10025012
It's also YET ANOTHER HBD geek rag and not virile in the slightest
>>
Redpill me on Jacobite, why do they name themselves after British monarchists?

https://jacobitemag.com/2017/09/03/the-right-needs-joy/

>At first glance, this charge seems ridiculous. How, one might ask, could the People of Pepe, the Movement or Milo, the Cult of Kek, lack joy? The right consistently flaunts shibboleths both in person and online, pulling no punches when mocking the sacred cows of our age. Right-leaning young people are awash with ironic memes that call out the contemporary plagues on Western society with humor. If nothing else, you have to admit that today’s young right has fun.

>But mockery and irony are far cries from true, abiding joy. Joy is an essential aspect of human flourishing, and a posture of mockery and irony is diametrically opposed to the experience of joy.

Is he right, brehs?

Yeah. The dude straight up unloaded a full clip on Ta-Nehisi Coates. Long time coming, if you ask me.

i made it halfway through and quit; jacobite is crypto-lefty swill. literally 'no true marxist' neo-liberal ed.
>>
>>10024381
You put my thoughts into words and now I'm sad.

I think there's also a point about post-heroicism. We are drawn into the system because of our egos and irrationalities.
>>
>>10025218
Yeah I don't know where Jacobite gets off associating with the right-wing in any capacity. It's blatantly accelerationist, which is as far from right/reactionary as you can get. I suppose you could call it fascist, insofar as fascism is accelerationist.
>>
>>10025212
I mean, it's not always that but I definitely take a peak at it every few days or so. It describes itself like this:

>Since its inception in 1945, and increasingly after it emerged as the flagship of neoconservatism in the 1970s, the magazine has been consistently engaged with several large, interrelated questions: the fate of democracy and of democratic ideas in a world threatened by totalitarian ideologies; the state of American and Western security; the future of the Jews, Judaism, and Jewish culture in Israel, the United States, and around the world; and the preservation of high culture in an age of political correctness and the collapse of critical standards.

If you're into that sort of stuff, then yeah, it's all right.
>>

>To add, it's basically run by Jewish conservatives

well that explains a thing or two
>>
>>10025234
i think accelerationism is right-wing, even if its not trad, but i get the sense that most of jacobite's contributors are neo-maoists in the vein of deng xiaoping. if that's what you want the Democratic party should be your thing; it's not that hard to weasel your way into the brahmin caste so long as you have half a brain--wherefrom you can laugh as the rest of the world collapses from your crystal palace in whogivesafuckistan. Neolibs are already well on their way to producing a hypercapitalist deterritorialized elite, so Jacobite seems... completely superfluous. I guess they just want extra NRx-tier state security against the inevitable mobs.

>>10025253
>I find Jewish conservatives interesting.
literally why
>>
actually, theyre probably just turbo sci-fi nerds who are impatient to sacrifice idpol in order to get AI etc.
>>
>In short, most IKEA humans’ professed liberal tolerance serves as a thin veneer for a lack of principle. Jennifer and Jason are unintentional Nietzcheans — having no core commitments or beliefs, they fall back on the will to power as their motivating principle.

I have been thinking incessantly about the last 200 years of human history. I think Land's perception of Liberalism infinitely accelerating into a hydrogenous, soulless blob is accurate and fully unavoidable at this point. I'm considering my options; religion was my first thought but I just can't hack orthodox theological propositions, and I feel like I would have to deceive people-something which I can't justify. Furthermore, American Protestantism has no energy and is/has always been one step away from whatever the dominate culture is. Options are dwindling...
>>
>>10025289
>literally why
because most Jews don't have the balls to be the individualists they actually all are in the public sphere. Any Jew who's publicly a Jewish conservative/republican is unusual.
>>
>>10025322
>having the balls to be a jewish conservative
you act like they're making some grand sacrifice; in reality kikes just have to play both sides so they can stay on top no matter what. Show me a j*w who is willing to repatriate himself to Israel, and supports my efforts to procure a white homeland, without expecting any kind of foreign or military aid in return.
>>
>>10022793

>>

"Don't be stupid, be a smarty..."
>>
>>10025210
Yes.
>>
>>10025376
>is it only because most of them vote democrat?
No, it's because most of them are Commies when it comes to other Jews but they're the complete opposite when it comes to the Goyim. I'm talking about the American Jews, of course. When they're publicly individualist to other Jews, I just find it an interesting dichotomy. I mean, they're raised from before they can remember that it's Jew first, before anything. Everything comes after. Jew is before country, before neighbor, before community. All I'm saying is I find it interesting when they break the general mold because most, especially publicly, are too afraid or worried about their wallet to do otherwise (and no, I'm not talking about the Hasidics).

The funniest part is that the Jews in Israel, the Mizrahi, don't even really consider the American Jews to be Jews at all. I'm talking about the ultra crazy Orthodox Jews over there. Like, they consider European Jews above in the heirarchy because the land connects to Israel's land itself. They're a strange people I find interesting, is all.
>>
>>10025408
fair enough
although if ben shapiro really cared about the goyim would he really be a yarmulke-wearing #cruzmissile ? I think most conservative jews are just zionists who realize evangelicals are dumb idiots who will do anything for the promised land and the chosen people who inhabit it.

I'm a Lutheran and I don't give a fuck about Israel. Although, considering the alternative is a mudslime shithole, it doesn't hurt to have a bit of civilization there.

The Catholic Church is unironically our last, best hope. If the traditionalists can hold the line until Francis dies, things will get wild with the next pope.

id rather go to a lutheran church than a catholic one. maybe sspx is okay but every catholic mass ive ever attended was cucked out. some fat or brown guy giving a sermon about "acceptance" "the youth" and "extremism" when there are approximately 5 people under age 30 in the entire basilica. no self-awareness.

when all of the parishioners are cast from the same mold (thin old white people), it's a bit odd to have a portly Poo at the lectern.

Catholics are all one body--the Mystical Body of Christ, to be specific. From every race and people on Earth they come together to form a new people, the People of God. Every Catholic is a brother or sister to every other Catholic. Therefore there's no difference between races, it's all the same thing. And all the Sacraments are valid anyway.
