It's hard to tell how genetic engineering will be able to affect people, you forget that a lot of what we have is formed during the gestation process, other things such as bone structure when we are growing.

It may be possible to make people taller, stronger or maaybe more flexible, make them grow fur, cat ears and so on is a lot more complicated. In theory you could only build upon what is already there, and even then you have to consider that genes aren't solely responsible for what characteristics an individual will develop.
