So, you want to get ripped?
1 - Find out what your appropriate weight should be considering your sex, age and height.

2. Calculate your daily caloric intake and how many calories you will need to cut out in order to reduce the amount of fat on your body over a period of months. Do this until you get to the weight you should be at.

3. Try the following routine for about 2 months. DO NOT BUY A GYM MEMBERSHIP. If you can't do the following every other day for 2 months, then you definitely won't go to the gym to work out. This stuff can be done for free in your back yard. If you want to buy something, get a door-way pull up bar. That is really all you "need" at first.
- Push ups
- Squats
- Burpees
- Upside down push ups
- Planks
Again, do this stuff every other day for 2 months. If you can't stick to something this simple, then don't bother looking into anything more complicated. You can go for jogs on days that you aren't doing the above routine if you want.
You should start to see some results after 2 months (nothing ground-breaking, but noticeable).
