Both sides of rape fantasies are extremely common fetishes which really should be unsurprising given how many children in human history have been rape babies. Unsurprisingly as well, women tend to fantasize about being raped and men about raping. From an evolutionary perspective seems to be utility in getting turned on by it, lubrication and avoiding damage, and in raping, in which case you're spreading your genes. There seems to be some variation in intensity as well, from a partner initiating without asking & restraining the other in coy ways, to people who get off to the idea of raping somebody/getting raped painfully.

It's just incredibly taboo for obvious reasons. Talking about how you fantasize about being raped sounds like a great way to get raped. It's perfectly rational to be cautious, keep some distance, and isolate somebody who WANTS to rape. Not that somebody having a rape fantasy means you would rape, it's just that they're more likely to rape than others, which is something to be concerned about.
