Do you guys think it affected me to take 2mg of estrogen every day for 1 month, and then again-a few months later, when I was 15?

Because I did that. I feel like the small tiny doses of estrogen I took helped jumpstart some kind of balanced feminine development (since everyone has both hormones).

But I didn't actually get on a full dosage until I turned 18.

No, it wouldn't have affected much if anything at all. Your body will still have been producing testosterone during that period which would have more or less countered the estrogen you were taking, especially since it was a small-ish dose.

If you took a blocker / AA at the same time then there might have been more of an effect, but only for that month, any changes would have been erased by the T you were immersed in since then

Depends on how masculine your face is and how tall and how large your skeletal structure. If you don't look too masculine, you're not to tall and your skeleton not too large there might be hope. You might be able to get away with being tall if you're otherwise slender and you have a good face. If you have a linebacker bod and a manly face you're screwed.

Smoking is bad definitely. Docs don't like that when prescribing HRT either. Fina, minoxidil, microneedling, and HRT might help with the hairline. Jaw could be an issue. You might have hope. I'm also 5'6" and it's a good height. I think it might be worth it for you to try HRT but you need to quit smoking. It can reduce the effects of HRT besides of course being unhealthy. Surgery could help with the jaw if it's a problem. If you do start HRT you don't want to put it off any longer. At any rate it's better to start now than to have a breakdown when you're 40. Trying to start then is even worse.

I think the concept of early vs. late particularly matters most for white males. They seem to have a shorter window as compared to Asians or other races. Of course this is only a general trend.

I started at 27 and I just went through a weird period where I looked super young. For a while I actually contemplated getting a fake ID so I could put a younger age because people at liquor stores actually called police on me once thinking I had a fake ID. Basically anywhere I went that asked for ID would raise a fuss about me.
But I'm getting close to 29 and luckily that horrible phase of my life is over and I haven't had too many issues passing, though personally I still think I look pretty uggo. I hangout with cis girls at work all the time and nobody knows I'm trans. The only people that really know are my family. I'm probably not some supermodel but at least it's enough to blend in.
