Where do I even begin? My mom is a severe narcissist. Besides the typical behaviors such as controlling what I wore, she also tried to control my behaviors. I was yelled at for hiccuping or breathing too heavily. I wasn't allowed to use the "nice" bathroom, and had to use the back bathroom with no insulation, even in the winter, because apparently "your shit smells worse than mine."

I was told to pick up the phone at friends' houses, because she might be the one calling. Mind you, I'm talking landlines, so...not even my phone. She actually came over and picked me up early one day, hitting me in the car, because I didn't pick up the phone when she called.

She put me on a Slimfast diet when I was 12, because 120lbs was "too fat" for a 5'3" girl who played 3 sports and spent every day outside. I wasn't allowed to eat meals with the family (I had to have a Slimfast shake) and when I WAS allowed, she had to control what I ate, how much, and I wasn't even allowed to salt & pepper my food.

I was made to walk on a treadmill for an hour each day in special ordered high arch shoes, I often ended up crying in pain, and hardly able to walk up and down the steps to my bedroom, and she would call me ungrateful because she paid a lot of money for those shoes. The only reason for even doing it was that my feet have low arches, which she doesn't like, so she was trying to "mold" them to have arches she liked by making me do this.

I could probably write a book on it, honestly, that doesn't even cover most of the physical abuse.

Thankfully, I'm >>8834397, and while I've long since moved out of her house, I'll be moving farther away hopefully soon, so I hope to start phasing her into complete no-contact mode for the rest of my life.
