Hi all!
I'm a newfag here so please be nice! ^^
I'm interested in learning how to draw trans women, but a recent stint on tumblr has left me with a lot of doubts. I'd like to know how to draw trans women/design characters without making an offensive caricature by accident @-@
I know lots of trans people are here, so I thought I could get some feedback! Trans boys are also welcome to give their feedback, since art knowledge can't hurt!
Please help a newbie learn the ropes!
Step 1: Draw a girl
Step 2: Give her a penis

Make sure to get the feminine benis bulge just right.
Oh, I'm not interested in drawing porn, just sayin
Basically draw someone with otherwise femine features? I know some trans girls have wide foreheads and long torsos but other than that I'm suuuper hesitant to begin

Start out by drawing a cis woman. Trans women are on average taller than cis women, and usually have somewhat less pronounced hips (although usually within the range of cis women) Other than that pretty much every thing that would differ from trans women to cis women is heavily dependent on induvidual factors, such as; age of transition, genetics, possible surgeries, amount of time they have been on hrt, environmental factors, induvidual reactions to hrt, their own natal hormonal balance, etc.
If you want to avoid drawing a stereotype or being offensively inaccurate, draw a trans woman the same way you would draw an average modest cis woman. Most trans women don't try to look ostentatious, and will avoid dressing or presenting themselves in a way that would garner excess attention. Of course there are exceptions, but if you want to avoid stereotypes its best to err on the side of caution.

Essentially what >>8826526 said.
Image attached to show what would be acceptable.
I don't really think there is much of a difference. 4Head

Just make them waify and frightened-looking

The same way you do cis women.

Adding onto this, basically the physicality of someone who transitioned at 18, 25, 30, or 40+ (after 40 it starts to matter less) are all going to be drastically different, and the age at which they are currently is also dependent (if someone is less than 5 years into HRT/transition, there is still significant changes that can occur, some people take even longer)
Assuming everyone in this scenario is far enough away from their age of transitioning that they basically aren't going to have anymore changes, then we can roughly speaking put them into very broad groups based on their age of transition.
Those who transition around 18 are generally going to be outwardly entirely identical to cis women, although on average somewhat taller.
