I almost agree with this. From my experience, when I was feeling successful and content in the other areas of my life, it was easier to repress. So in a steady relationship and happy with school/ work, I thought about being the opposite sex almost none.

So I would think she knows it's something she wants, but the rest of her life all feels like it's in place, so transition is a relatively small thing that she can more easily ignore.

I should clarify in relation to your comment. I don't agree that it's because she thinks coming out and transitioning would hurt the brand, though I'm sure that's a part of it. It's more that because the brand keeps going "strong" (though it's been bad for years now) that the good in her life outweighs the dysphoria by so much.

GG keeps her going as a man, rather than her remaining a man is what keeps GG going, if that makes sense. It's not a pressure to stay a man; just that the pressure is so relieved, life is so good, in other areas that it takes pressure off from her gender dilemma too.
