Hello /acegen/

Newly asexual here. I used to have a sex drive but at the beginning of this year it went away completely and now I feel no sexual attraction at all. I don't know why. It's been this way for months now and shows no signs of coming back. Most of my old hobbies (anime / manga / waifu collecting) revolved around sexual attraction so I've found myself losing interest in almost everything I used to enjoy. I've dropped 99% of the manga I was following and can't watch ecchi anime anymore.

Just wondering are most people here asexual from birth or are there any other acquired asexuals?

If it's the former, a change in libido can be tied to some mental illnesses or hormone changes, along with a general decrease with age.

If it's the latter, yes, sexuality can be fluid.

Regardless, if either bothers you, you can always see a doctor to make sure it isn't caused by anything serious.

I prefer it. I don't have to worry about financial parasites or genetic copyright infringement. I don't need people, I need the stuff people make. I have more liquid funds than most of the people in my class. I don't have to run things past another person if I want to do something. If I want to play vidya all day, I can do that.

I realised a long time ago that it would be better if instead of having my own kids, I borrow the kids of my friends/siblings and at the end of the day, once I've loaded them up with coke/coffee/sugar/melange, I hand them back over to their parents, then go home and do whatever the fuck I want.

My genes are trash. I need some insight on a very personal problem. Sorry if this isn't something good to talk about, but I don't know where else to go. Any advice or thoughts are appreciated.
This past year I found out that I have repressed memories of being assaulted at three or four. I've identified as ace my whole life, but this new information has caused me a lot of confusion. Am I still a real ace if it's caused by an experience and not genetics? I worry that if I were to pursue counseling for trauma, they would try to make me "okay with sex", which sounds kind of like conversion therapy to me. I can't tell what the "right"answer is anymore.
Is asexuality caused by trauma something that should be fixed, or should I avoid sexual reconditioning and identify how I have all my life?

Is it stupid to want to become an ace? I'm a het cis male, and I've become more frustrated with my sexuality that I think about doing away with it more and more. But then if such a thing were possible, then the 'gay therapy' shit would actual work instead of it being just torture.

I take everything literally. It's a mental issue. For example when there's a vocal fight, I take it all in, and after the fight, while the participants may shrug it off, I continue to feel the fight, and it's all negative. Therapy doesn't help, and I can't stop behaving like this. So, over the years online, these feelings build up.

It didn't help that tonight, I tried to talk to an ace about a post she made, and it blew up. I made her feel terrible, and as a result I feel like shit. I also tend to ramble on, trying to be clear about what I'm saying but failing almost always. I just want to stop feeling confused and having this guilt in my gut. It hurts.

Firstly, I'm not sure how a fetish can be here. Most are more broad than orientation categories allow for. Secondly, I don't see why that wouldn't be a valid identification, especially since "hetero with no sexual interest" is a bit of an oxymoron in the context of asexuality. If you have no interest in sex, that's a pretty big red flag for asexuality. If you happen to find pleasure in masturbating to fetishes but still do not desire to have sex with another person, you're still asexual, at least in my book. The real issue is finding someone who'll get kinky with you without having sex. Most people assume the former comes bundled with the latter.
