This is also 3 months into SRS. Things haven't healed by that point. SRS is without a doubt one of the most major surgeries most of us will ever end up having. It's a total reconstruction. It takes time to heal, like a year.

It's important not to think of SRS as the end goal of transitioning. Consider if it's right for you personally- if it isn't, don't feel like you have to get it.

It's also worth noting that for any major surgery, there tends to be a depression rate for a while after, as an effect from the anesthesia, iirc.

I feel like I should note here, postsurgical depression is quite common with SRS. It's a difficult recovery and it's very hard not to feel like the pain, lack of function and bleeding will never end. I am glad that I got SRS and don't regret it in the slightest, but in those first few months it did lead to some very dark feelings of if I had made a terrible mistake, feeling like "you know maybe a dick wasn't the worst thing, at least it wasn't a nonfunctional crippling wound"
