I honestly think of transsexuality as a sort of intersexuality so it is expected that some want to keep some aspects of their natal sex. The whole "transmen/women are men/women!" thing is because of how ingrained the gender binary is and people being unable to accept things outside of it. Trans people are closer to their transitioned sex but they're not literally their transitioned sex. We round things up because if the option is "man" or "woman" and the infrastructure is set up to accommodate men and women you have to choose one or the other and you might as well choose what's closer.

In my opinion, hatred of one's genitals is not necessarily always directly related to standard physical dysphoria. Oftentimes I think the penis gets built up as the symbolic representation of manhood and thereby the "thing that makes you male". People experience what they experience, but I do not have genital dysphoria but still consider myself "trutrans" (insofar as my definition is simply having dysphoria and approaching being trans in a realistic manner and not that of caricature or ideology). Of course a lot of the mental pain of dysphoria can be called symbolic, but I think the changes that occur at puberty are the main ones that tend to actually signal most strongly dysphoria and thereby one's nature as trans.

Anyways, I'm basically just trying to say I personally think not having SRS is fine, and I think you should feel fine about it if that's what you think you want.

I have no real issue with being a woman with a penis, aside from it means I had no childhood. I had a penis when I was born and never really liked it, always got in the way, but I never hated it either. I feel no compulsion to get surgery, and I don't think you should get life changing surgery if you don't really want it that badly.

Maybe it's because I pass and my dysphoria has subsided since transition, but the only person who sees my penis is me and my boyfriend. It may be "quintessentially male" but it has no bearing on how I'm perceived or how I perceive myself.
