With that said, a lot of old signals has become part of mainstream fashion and thus modern day signalling becomes more explicit. I look at queer history, and use older associations. The pink triangle instead of the rainbow flag, for instance. Diva worship (if it lines up with your personal interests) by way of a t-shirt or pin. I've thought about wearing a band around. But to be honest your best bet is to hang around gay spaces. Cos if you hang around gay spaces gay men aren't gonna be as scared to approach you. I have met some boys in places like that.
