So trannies, when did you start passing more often than not? I've heard it generally takes a year and a half to two years, but I'm not sure if that's accurate or not

Yeah about a year and a half, and I started at 24 & 11 months old. It's a mix of how long it takes to change with how long it takes you to learn how to work with what you have and cover your flaws.
Still get clocked every once in a while, but I've got a long way to go still anyway and it's better than I ever expected it would be. I get complimented ten times as much as I get clocked, easily. There's just no avoiding that one person who's seen transwomen before.
Remember to relax your body.

People started ma'aming occasionally at about 8 months, but I personally didn't feel like I passed until about a year and a half. YMMV, though. It's a mix of HRT effectiveness, how you present yourself (clothing/makeup/taking care of your body), mannerisms, voice, "emotional passing", and raw genetics.
It depends on what you have to work with. I was already pretty andro and had long hair, so I started to pass (not including my voice) quite early. I would guess at about 5/6 months after some facial fat redistibution. My hair is so long that it would be strange to think I'm male at this point, it's longer than most girls.
