I play exclusively 2, because 1 lacks my favourite faction(necrons) and 3 is too pricey.

I highly recommend the titanium wars mod. It makes the game an impossible hellscape of massive army warfare and they include titans! All around refreshing if you're getting bored of the vanilla dow2 experience. The A.I is reworked, and the factions reimagined to fit the most up to date lore in the warhammer universe. (Im a huge fucking nerd)
