Can we have an adult conversation about inter-generational dating in the lgbt community with it devolving into everyone getting flammed for being pedo?

Personally I've struggled with being attracted to pubescent older male youths, and I think it partly stems from missing out on experiencing my sexuality as a teenager/20 yo because of faggot issues. I'm not ashamed about it but sometimes people will give you shit for it and I don't get why.
Am I really pure evil if I truly and genuinely love them, don't abuse children, break no laws, and contribute something good to their lives?
