I was under for a few hours for surgery once, and my biggest fear was NOT going under. My family has issues with anesthetic, and some people in my family have WOKEN UP during major surgery. I was terrified it would happen to me.

As it happened, I remember moving onto the surgery bed, I remember the needle going into my arm and maybe exchanging a few words with nurses and then absolutely nothing after that. I woke up and it was over, and holy FUCK I was so happy I had no memory in between.

That's pretty much my experience when I had SRS. The anesthesiologist told me he was putting me under, gave me an injection, then next thing I knew I woke up and it was over. It was like I teleported from the operating room to my hospital bed. It was a bit disorienting.
