I spent a few months going to an Adventure League place near me, but it really isn't the same as what I've heard about online.

Try your nearest comic book stores or other hobby shops, some of them host d&d games. Just a couple years ago that was how I got into the game, and met people to play with. (I didn't have any friends either, back then.)

As he found a steady job and practiced his powers in secret, the truth at hand dawned on him. He is now middle-aged and she old enough to take care of herself, and he has set out to make things right and revoke the deal on her soul.
He is practical and bookish, tracking contracts to the letter and taking notes on their encounters and especially any arcane or occult findings.
