Doesn't age only matter insofar as how much and how rapidly it masculinizes you? Aka it varies between people just like any other trait.
Some people are lucky enough to look like 20 year olds at 30 so they pass well, one of my friends used to be a passable trap at 26 before finally starting mones (not tranny tho).
Others are already manjawed hons at 14, like someone I went to HS with who transitioned at that age.
Point is, age is just something that correlates with other physical characteristics, the cutoff point is a meme.

Im 30.
I technically started a couple of weeks before I turned 29. Now Im like a year and 6 ish months in.
Hows it working out?

Well If I could remember to take my meds at around the same time consistantly I wouldn't get awful mood swings. Still, its better than it was. I was basically a muted, asexual, robot.
Now Im an emotional, sex craving, potato woman.
Physically? Its not super noticeable due to clothes and being kinda early in. Ive had a little breast tissue since I was in middle school and fat tends to collect on my chest for me. My tits are mostly due to that and being fat. Physically I cant really tell the changes that well because I have such a horrible self image since puberty started that it makes it almost impossible to pic anything good out of my appearance.
All the trouble I have (including the crazy libido and crazy sensitivity) is well worth it for getting rid of 24/7 depression and numbness.

Aside from general emotional numbness (Like I was scared for awhile that I was a psychopath) there was physical numbness too.
It was weird because it always felt like everything I touched was through a filter except physical texture.
Even pain felt distant. Shit still hurt but I felt like the signal was degraded somehow (if that makes sense). When I started hrt, it was like my senses where turned to normal levels. Some of them where turned all the way up. Im not talking like fucking xmen level shit, just high enough to make things sorta to very uncomfortable sometimes like sunlight and sound.
I work in a kitchen currently and when someone drops a fucking pan I fucking feel that hard. Like I just got hit in the brain with it and this is like not right next to me. Im genuinely scared what will happen if someone does it right next to me.
I know this sounds farfetched but its true.
