I am very uncomfortable being at the weight I am at, my weight makes me feel very unattractive. I am about 180 pounds and, 5'10". I want to lose 50 pounds, just a little bit above underweight for my height. Any specific foods I should avoid, or specific diets I should try? Thank you.

do a keto diet but also eat way below 1000 cal a day

also do some mild home workouts (crunches, pressups etc.) if you want to avoid looking emaciated/ill as a result of drastic dieting, make sure to spend some time outside to avoid tired looking skin, and get plenty of sleep

t. 5'10' who dropped from 173 lbs to 136 lbs, looked pretty unhealthy due to undereating, learn from my mistakes

about 4-6 months, i didn't really notice it dropping until my mother asked if i'd lost weight, boom i'd lost 30 lbs, now i'm trying to gain some back

i could probably do it faster and better now knowing what i know now, i ate very little and went for a long, mostly uphill bicycle ride to help speed up weight loss

i wish i'd taken progress pics m8, would have been nice to chart my progress

Theres really no reason to eat below 1000 calories. Keto is a smart idea though. I lost 100lbs in a year with that.

I'm not a dietician but that's what worked for me, I had a full time office job for part of that period so if you are more active than I was you should adjust accordingly

Which one is it anon? Even for someone this short under 1000 is nowhere near enough I wouldn't recommend going under 1200 until they stop losing weight then reduce caloric intake if they wish to get even thinner stop giving people bad advice

Man I'm 210 and 5'8 and I dig it. I'm probably gonna drop to 190 but I like being really soft. So many mtfs are obsessed with being tiny, I wish I could share the feeling.

Hey chase your aesthetic dude, I'm just high and blogposting. Don't eat so little though it's not healthy. Eat a modest calorie deficit and get plenty of exercise, that's always the best way. Inclined cardio will help you burn calories and get a nicer butt.

Also? I said 'way below' as 1000 was my personal maximum limit, your mileage will vary bc I have a very slim build so 170-odd looks very bad on me despite being in the 'healthy' BMI range

I don't do it anymore, I got down to 125-ish at my lowest and looked like shite, thin hair, sunken eyes, always grumpy etc. Ate better, exercised, slept well and went outside a lot, now 136 as of this morning. As long as you have a goal weight and don't just stop eating totally I think drastic calorie cutting is a speedy way to lose weight, my advice isn't gospel, I don't know your lifestyle or body type so I can only suggest broad ideas
